Cocoa Puffs

Hello Suzie & Francois: hope you had a wonderful trip to China and have
returned safely. I have been looking forward to sending you pictures of
CocoaPuffs, which are attached. There are two in our RV and one in the
backyard.
CocoaPuffs is doing wonderfully well and has found her voice. She is "no
longer timid"; and enjoys having conversations with the neighbor dogs whether
they be next door or across the street. She enjoyed meeting the other small
dogs in our RV Club and now has friends to look forward to seeing on RV Trips.
I am sure she has gained weight in spite of her daily sprints in the back
yard. We love her so much and we are greatful everyday that she is ours. She
brings us so much pleasure.
Enjoy the pictures.

Makena

Hi Susi & Francois,
Just an update on our beautiful Makena...She and I passed the Delta Society
evaluation this morning and I was so proud of her. She has already been going
to my friend's mother's nursing home as a "pet dog" and everyone loved her. Now
Makena can go as a Certified Pet Therapy Partner to many places bringing smiles
to so many people. I am very excited.
Also, I am part of a real estate team and my broker, Bobbi and her husband,
Buddy are head over heels in love with Makena. If I go into the office, Makena
is by my side. They even have a ceramic dog water bowl and a bed just for her in
our office. My broker and her husband took care of Makena for a week while we
were on vacation...perfect...dog door Makena's size and all the attention she
could ever want. They are thrilled that she likes to ride in the car (as their
previous dog, a Maltese, passed away the end of last year and she didn't enjoy
the car at all.)
Our team is putting on a Living Longer Forum for seniors and we did a television
commercial...yes, Makena was the star. Since she was going to be certified to
go out to hospitals and nursing homes she was the perfect dog to be in the
commercial. She actually slept thru the two hours it took to make the 60 second
commercial and after it was over everyone else went behind the cameras jumping
up and down to get Makena's attention...they dubbed her being awake for the
sleeping part. (She was very fluffy as I had her scheduled for grooming that
afternoon...oh well...she looks adorable fluffy.) I look like a statue standing
behind her--not too much television experience. The lady speaking is my broker
and the man behind her is her husband who keeps telling us to go out of town so
they can take care of Makena again. Makena is so loved.
To see a copy of our commercial click on the website below and then click on
VIDEOS and then on the photo (third one right now) called SRES (Seniors Real
Estate Specialist) and have your sound up so you can hear Bobbi speak. Please
note that none of people had their names on the screen...only Makena because she
is special.

One more thing, if you ever get another Shih Tzu with Makena's personality I am
sure Bobbi and Buddy would like to adopt her. They definitely want a female and
I don't think age matters. They are fantastic dog parents.
I hope you are doing well. Fondly, Pam

Leo

LDR,
As promised, here are the belated Easter pictures of Leo and Bella. As you can
see, after the photo shoot he ran off to take those drarn ears off! He
continues to make me laugh with his naugty and sweet antics. Bella is my
wonderful little Mother's helper. I adopted her from the shelter at 11 years of
age. She is now close to 15 years old and is the sweetest little love anyone
could wish for. I am so blessed with all my fur babies.
Hugs,
Suzanne, Leo and Bella
Claire

Here are some pictures of Claire having some happy moments.
I'm soooo glad to hear that the "ritual" claire does in the crate is
her usual deal, cause I thought I was invading her space by putting her
food in there...whew!!...LOL
Claire
is doing WONDERFUL...soooo much better than I ever imagined so quickly.
She has the run of the house...her and Sarah are PERFECT together (not
even shoving or grring)...just happy girls. Claire even went upstairs
this morning and woke Sarah and Lance up...demanding they hurry and come
downstairs...LOL...she's soooo funny!!
Claire selected her spot at the vacant apartment, and stays in that
spot, except when she comes to hang out with me when I'm on the floor
laying the flooring. All the pictures are at the apt, except the blue
sofa one.
I have NEVER loved a fur-child this much...and I will never be without a
Maltese again...they are soooo special and such little humans. Claire
has become our whole lives, and I hope that we are hers too (we are sure
trying to be). Claire seems VERY happy with us. Yesterday we went to
the Vet, and she met Dr. Sharp, and Sarah got her booster shots, and he
gave Claire a little decongestant shot as her nose has been a little
drippy. She liked Dr. Sharp and his crew, just like Sarah does.
Well, time for us to go work on the apt.
Hugs, Janice
You and Francois sure turned Claire's life around, and changed her life
from scared to happy...you two are awesome.
Derrick ( aka Buddy )

Hi Susi and Francois,
It has been a while since we've send you and update on Derrick (Buddy). He
has a sister now Kylie a loving schnoodle.
Jason and I have moved to a house with a back yard and they love it. We are
lucky to have them.
Thank you for all that you do.
Yours,
David, Jason, Derrick & Kylie.
Bella (aka Rosie)

Hi Susi and Francois,
Here are some pictures of my babies. They really love
each other, can you believe it? Actually, they have
done so well together we are amazed. Daisy has taken
the dominant mommy roll and Rosie is the well behaved
daughter.
Rosie is delightful. She hasn't done anything wrong
yet. She follows us all over the house, always has a
smile on her face, takes walks with me and Daisy, goes
potty (always outside) when asked - She's amazing. I
don't feel like I have a strange little puppy, I have
a true friend that I have waited for for a long time.
Thanks again for my baby.
Enjoy the pictures!!
Paula
Marcie

Hi Susi
and Francois: Marcie surprised me and had her Daddy Richard buy me a
wonderful Valentine's Day card from her and told him to write down what she
wanted to say on it. It was so sweet
I thought I would share it with you both:
"Mommy: I was once a sick, little doggy with no home or anybody to love
me. I was so lonely. Then I was rescued by two Angels named Susi and
Francois. But I was still an orphan. Then you adoped me and gave me my
forever home. You also loved me and became my forever mommy. Now I am so
lucky and I am a happy puplet. Thank you for being my loving mommy. From
Sweet, Dear, Little Marcie." This card brought tears to my eyes. She
doesn't realize how we are the lucky ones! Thanks to you two!!
We love her so!! Sandy, Richard and Grandma
Molly
It has been a very
long time since I've updated you on Molly. Am sorry I have not been more
diligent in keeping you informed.
She
is absolutely wonderful... although she has been known to get herself into
mischief from time to time. Every once in a while she will investigate an
aroma in the kitchen. If she is home alone & can reach the wonderful smell
she will help herself to a feast. Amazingly she very seldom becomes ill.
Perhaps it's due to her prior life before me.
Remember
how was I concerned she would never jump on my lap. Not to worry! I've had
to train her to wait for the "OK". Sometimes she will literally stare at me
with those big brown eyes & I know what she's thinking. A stern "no" or
"don't even think about" generally clears the issue. I also have a recliner
chair. She will jump to the couch & wait for the "OK" to nap on my lap.
Too bad I can't get her to stop checking out people food.
She
greets everyone at the door with a wagging tail unless she senses something
uneasy. Then she barks & will let them near me. I always respect her
hunch.
Needless
to say, she is the joy & love of my life. I cannot tell you what is in my
heart or my gratitude for bringing her into my life.
P.S. I have enclosed
several photos of Molly (Tanya). There is also one at Christmas (notice
her red jacket) which includes myself & Elsa (caregiver of 3 years). I
also included Tanya After but am not sure I have Tanya Before.
Shirley
Annie

Belated Holiday Greetings.
I got behind getting my Christmas film developed this year.
Here's Annie. It's her second Christmas with us. Then a summer photo of
her swimming in my daughter's pool.
She continues to light up our lives for which we thank you.
Happy New Year, Best Wishes,
